The Lehigh Valley Health Network, based in Allentown PA, sought to provide an array of acute healthcare options to the underserved Carbon County area in the north Lehigh Valley. The result is Lehigh Valley Hospital – Carbon Campus, a two-story Hospital and Health Center which includes a 16-treatment space Emergency Department, a Surgery Department with multiple operating and procedure spaces, a variety of imaging modalities, and a 20-bed Inpatient Nursing Unit. The Health Center includes the Hospital Pharmacy, an Outpatient / Cardiac Rehab Center, an Infusion Center, and multiple LVHN Physician Clinics. The Campus includes numerous opportunities for expansion, and indeed plans for expansion commenced immediately upon opening due to the overwhelming community response.
